David Kohl

Join us on June 17 at 7 p.m. for a free one-hour webinar, "Transforming the Black Swan into a Phoenix," on COVID-19's impact on agriculture and the economy. Dr. David Kohl, professor emeritus and member of the Academic Hall of Fame in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Virginia Tech, will provide a vision of how the agricultural industry can rise like a phoenix, the mythical bird for regeneration.

COVID-19 and its unintended consequences have made a major impact on American agriculture, as well as the general U.S. and global economy. The total impact of COVID-19 on the agricultural industry is far from a final assessment. Kohl will discuss the implications of COVID-19 on the U.S. and global economy and the future marketplace, including consumer demand shaping the macro view of the decade of the ‘20s.

Kohl will present specific strategies to producers, agribusiness owners and ag lenders. He will provide time-tested strategies of resilience and agility to reenergize business decision making. Kohl has spent his career spanning five decades dealing with black swans and guiding the agricultural industry in navigating businesses through the economic whitewater.

Participation in the webinar is free and open to anyone interested. Space is limited so please register early to reserve your spot. After registering you will receive a confirmation email with additional details.
