The agricultural industry has been buzzing about “Big Data,” which evolved from farm data generated by precision agricultural technology. Big Data is not an intuitive concept to consider and imposes opportunities and risks never before witnessed in agriculture. 5D. Tips for Farm and Ranch Families on Budgeting for Health Insurance

Young and beginning farmers and ranchers identify access to health insurance as an issue impacting the future of their farm or ranch. Nearly half of all farmers and ranchers are concerned they will have to sell farm or ranch assets to address health related costs for long-term care, nursing home, or in-home health assistance. Choosing a health insurance plan can be confusing. This session explores considerations when choosing the best plan to meet your needs.
5E. Ag Conservation Easement Program

The Agricultural Conservation Easement Program (ACEP)provides financial and technical assistance to landowners to help conserve agricultural lands and wetlands and their related benefits. Under the Agricultural Land Easement (ALE)component, NRCS helps Indian Tribes, state, and local governments and nongovernmental organizations protect working agricultural lands and limit non-agricultural uses of the land. This presentation will provide an overview of the ACEP program.
